ABOUT THE THE HEALTH EVIDENCE REVIEW COMMISSION

The Health Evidence Review Commission reviews medical evidence in order to prioritize health spending in the Oregon Health Plan and to promote evidence-based medical practice statewide through comparative effectiveness reports, including coverage guidances and multisector interventions, health technology assessments and evidence-based practice guidelines. The commission uses a transparent public process to ensure that its decisions are made in the best interest of patients and taxpayers while considering input from providers and members of the public, including those affected by the conditions discussed. 

 

ABOUT THE RURAL HEALTH COORDINATING COUNCIL

The mission of the Oregon Office of Rural Health (ORH) is to improve the quality, availability, and accessibility of health care for rural Oregonians.

The Oregon Office of Rural Health (ORH) has been the focal point for rural health in Oregon since 1979. ORH partnered with Oregon Health & Science University in 1989 to increase its ability to bring statewide resources to rural areas. Supported by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy, the state of Oregon and Oregon Health  & Science University, ORH offers assistance to hospitals, clinics and communities to strengthen the rural health care delivery system. The $3,015,893 annual budget is 42 percent state-funded and 42 percent federally funded. Sixteen percent of the budget is generated from service fees.

OPSO Board of Directors

Our executive board is made of 13-members including an ACOFP, Osteopathic Resident and Osteopathic Medical Student Position. The Board is responsible for the over management and strategic direction of the organization.

 

Education Committee

The Education Committee coordinates educational programs for osteopathic physicians, osteopathic medical students, and potential osteopathic students in the state of Oregon in support of the osteopathic profession.

 

CME Committee

The CME committee is charge with development, review, and implementation of OPSO sponsors continuing medical education programs.

 

Public Policy Committee
The Public Policy Committee of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon advocates for Oregon osteopathic physicians through legislative efforts on the state and national level. The committee encourages input from Oregon osteopathic physicians, reports on public policy proceedings, evaluates the impact of legislative activities, and lobbies on behalf of Oregon osteopathic physicians.

 

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon develops and implements strategies to increase engagement with the association. 

 

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon shall review OPSO's fiscal and operational status to ensure that the financial operations are consistent with policy and procedures.

 

Representatives to the AOA House of Delegates

Delegates represent Oregon and our policy priorities as this annual AOA gathering in Chicago where national resolutions are considered.

 

OPSO Council of Osteopathic Medical Students
Represents and advocates for all osteopathic medical students in Oregon. The committee is tasked with creating and maintaining lines of communication between osteopathic medical students and the greater osteopathic community, as well as addressing and educating on resident-specific topics.

 

OPSO Council of Osteopathic Residents
Represents and advocates for all osteopathic residents in Oregon. The committee is tasked with creating and maintaining lines of communication between osteopathic residents and the greater osteopathic community, as well as addressing and educating on resident-specific topics
