OPSO is now accepting applications for the
Osteopathic Medical Student Research Competition
Platform and Poster Presentation
The purpose of this medical research competition is to encourage and recognize scholarly activity of osteopathic medical students who are Oregon residents or are training in Oregon.
Applicants must be:
- An osteopathic medical student currently enrolled and in good standing at an osteopathic medical school who is a resident of the state of Oregon or an osteopathic medical student who is enrolled and in good standing at an osteopathic medical school in Oregon.
- A member of OPSO
Applicants must be available to attend the OPSO Winter CME Conference on Saturday, February in 25 in Sunriver, OR to present their research or poster presentation.
All applicants must submit the online application no later than Sunday, January 29. Applicants who have been selected to present at the conference will be notified by Monday, Feb. 6.
Outstanding research projects will be selected by the OPSO research committee to be included in the oral presentation session or the poster presentation session of the OPSO Winter Conference at the Sunriver Convention Center
Oral presentations will take place on February 25 starting at 4:15pm with up to 10 minutes allowed per presentation.
Poster presentation judging will begin at 4:00pm. Poster presenters must stand at their poster from 4pm-6pm and will have up to 5 minutes to defend their project to judges.
The first author of the research project must be available to attend the conference to present their research during the oral presentations or defend their research at the poster presentation.
Awards will be presented for the top platform and poster presentations. Research will be featured on the OPSO website for viewing by the osteopathic community and public.
Selection Process & Criteria
All submissions will be reviewed by the OPSO Research Committee. The Committee will select the top applications for inclusion in the Conference.
Submissions will be accepted in the following categories: Clinical Research, Basic Science, and Public and/or Community Health
