Join us in person at the OPSO office, as Robert Ellis, DO presents An Osteopathic Approach to Chronic Illness.


This presentation will include 3 sections including:

1 An introduction to chronic illness: biology and epidemiology
2. An osteopathic approach to chronic illness
3. Three tools, culinary medicine, exercise and stress reduction.


There is no charge for this program; however space is limited for in-person attendees


2.25 AOA Category 1-A CME Credits


The OPSO is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The OPSO designates this program for a maximum of 2.25 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.




About Dr. Ellis


Dr Ellis is a medical oncologist who specializes in the holistic care of cancer patients. He joined Northwest Permanente Medical Group in 2005. Previous positions include serving as the Medical Director of the Cancer Center of Southwest Washington and Hospice of Southwest Washington. A 26 year US Army veteran Dr Ellis left active duty in 2001 at the rank of colonel. Dr Ellis is a Costin scholar and serves as a faculty member of the Healthy Living and Wellness curriculum and Lifestyle Medicine track at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. A 1987 graduate of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, he also holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, osteopathic internal medicine and palliative medicine in addition to professional training in plant based nutrition and plant based culinary arts.
