Dr. Cynthia Gulick at Southwest Family Physicians is HIRING! We are looking for another physician to join our merry little band of diverse and energetic health providers.


Family Practice or Internal Medicine, DO or MD, with or without OB or weight-loss interests, full or part-time.  
Low call, lots of independence and flexibility. Come be part of an established, patient-centric Level V Medical Home with a collaborative and collegial culture.  


We are also seeking an additional Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/prescriber.


Job Description

Job Overview: Provide continuous and comprehensive medical services for the prevention and treatment of diseases and chronic conditions as well as the promotion of optimal health and health maintenance to patients at Southwest Family Physicians in Tigard, Oregon (outside Portland, OR). This includes the assessment, diagnosis, and management of health problems and disorders. The physician .

Background Information: Southwest Family Physicians is a primary care clinic with a team of 17 medical providers composed of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, counselors, a physical therapist, acupuncturist and a licensed massage therapist. In the spirit of the clinic’s comprehensive approach to healthcare, we aim to provide many different health services that patients appreciate. We are a highly collaborative, integrated group of providers that values a team-approach in providing complete wellness services for patients.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform acute and chronic Primary Care services to patients, including a thorough evaluation, determination of a differential diagnosis and preparation of a plan for medical treatment.
  • Adhere to standards (???  I didn’t understand the ‘via texts’…??)
  • Maintain a customer-oriented approach to meeting patient needs in an expedient manner, involving the family in the plan of care as appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy.
  • Document care provided; meeting standards for periodic chart reviews.
  • Seek consultations as appropriate
  • Act as a consultant to other providers at the clinic
  • Champion quality initiatives
  • Participate in weekly provider meeting




·         Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally with patients and families, as well as clinic providers and staff.

  • Ability to function independently with regards to most clinical decision making.


  • Second language
  • Experience with children and teens




  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree


  • 2 or more years’ experience working in a primary care setting
