Director – Clinical Education – Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic
Medicine of the Pacific-Northwest located in Lebanon, Oregon is offering an opportunity for a
physician to join the University as the Director of Clinical Education. This individual will develop,
implement, and monitor third and fourth year clinical rotations for students pursuing the DO degree
at WesternU/COMP and COMP-Northwest. The Director will manage third and fourth year rotation
site development and preceptor development to ensure a positive student learning experience. This
includes collaboration in the development of core and elective third and fourth year clinical rotations
and the direct and general supervision of all personnel in the COMP-Northwest Department of
Clinical Education.


1. Develop and maintain quality clinical rotations for third and fourth year osteopathic medical
students, perform regular site visits and evaluation
2. Build and maintain positive relationships and collaborations with clinical preceptors, hospital
administrators, and clinical sites
3. Provide guidance and supervision of rotations clerkship directors on the development and
implementation of clinical curriculum
4. Guidance and counseling for second, third, and fourth year osteopathic medical students
5. Provide administrative oversight of the COMP-Northwest Department of Clinical Education
6. Participate in the development of curriculum and the curriculum improvement process
