In the fall of 2019, a group of third year osteopathic medical students came together with the goal of creating the Pacific Northwest Medical Student Research Journal (PNWMSRJ). The mission of the PNWMSRJ is three-fold: 1) To work toward dispelling the stigma that osteopathic medical students are not involved in research 2) To allow students to showcase their work by publishing their research findings in a peer-reviewed journal, & 3) To provide an opportunity for students to develop their critical analysis and editing skills by serving as student editors.

We would like to invite the members of OPSO to serve as peer reviewers for the PNWMSRJ. We aim to hold our journal to a high standard when it comes to the peer review process. We feel that as distinguished members of the physician community, reviews by OPSO members will improve the journal’s quality and credibility. Our goal is to make the workload as small of a burden as possible by requesting each reviewer only review 1 article per issue (bi-annually). Additional information about the journal can be found on the journal’s website:

If you are interested in serving as a peer reviewer, or have any questions, please contact the Editor in Chief, Jacob Nelson at: Thank you for your consideration!

Best regards,
